Nursery Teacher (Part-Time, Job Share) – Primary School

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temporary, long‑term

Working Days: Wednesday to Friday (3 days per week)

Salary: £150-£250 per day (dependent on payscale)

A vibrant and nurturing Primary School in Southwark is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Nursery Teacher to join the Early Years team on a part‑time, long‑term temporary basis. This is a job‑share role, working closely with an existing Nursery Teacher and supported by an additional Team Teach-trained Teacher.

The school is looking for a passionate practitioner who thrives in Early Years settings and can contribute to a warm, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality teaching and supporting children’s early development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate teaching aligned with the EYFS curriculum

• Work collaboratively with your job‑share partner and the wider EYFS team

• Contribute to planning, observations, and assessments

• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

• Support a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Strong knowledge and experience of the EYFS curriculum

• Experience working in Nursery or Early Years settings

• Ability to work effectively within a job‑share model

• Availability to start as soon as possible

The role is based in a welcoming Primary School in Southwark, easily accessible by public transport.
