Job Title: Early Childhood Educator – Nursery Practitioner
Location: Derby
Salary: £12-£13 per hour (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
– Design and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote children’s holistic development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
– Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and collaboration to support each child’s unique needs and interests.
– Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor children’s progress and inform planning, adapting activities as necessary to promote individual growth and learning.
– Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel empowered to explore, learn, and develop essential skills.
– Maintain accurate records and documentation, including observations, assessments, and developmental profiles, to track children’s development and communicate progress with parents/carers.
Requirements:
– Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting, with a genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the highest standards of care and support.
– Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 3 desirable).
– Sound knowledge of child development principles and the EYFS framework, with the ability to apply them effectively in practice.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
– A proactive and reflective approach to professional development, with a willingness to engage in continuous learning and training opportunities.
