We are looking for a committed and empathetic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Stockport on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the educational journey of a student with Special Educational Needs. You will play a key role in providing personalised support and helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs
  • Assist in implementing personalised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting the student’s social, emotional, and academic development
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the student’s progress
  • Support the student in developing independence and confidence within the school setting
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student’s education
