Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with autism and additional learning needs? Career Teachers is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive special needs school in Leeds, and we’re looking for dedicated individuals to join their team this September.

This is a full-time, term-time only role for the entire academic year, with the potential to transition into a permanent contract with the school.

💼 Your Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with autism and other additional needs throughout the school day
• Assist with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social development
• Work closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to deliver tailored support
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• Essential: Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly autism
• Desirable: Relevant qualifications or training in SEN, autism awareness, or child development
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential
