Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and engaged
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies to maintain a positive learning environment
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and instructions provided by the absent teacher
Provide guidance and support to students as they complete assigned work
Handle minor issues or emergencies that may arise during lessons
Collect and return completed student work to the appropriate teacher or department
Communicate effectively with teaching staff regarding student progress and any concerns
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and report any issues appropriately
Be flexible in covering a range of subjects and year groups across the school
Confident and professional with strong classroom presence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to follow instructions and work independently
Calm under pressure and capable of managing behavior effectively
Adaptable and willing to work across different subjects and age groups
Previous experience in a school setting or working with young people is desirable but not essential
