Location: Sheffield
Hours: Various days/ 8:00am – 3:00pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our team in Sheffield S2. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality early years education, creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children’s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, identifying individual learning needs and next steps.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes children’s wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
  • Develop strong relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and assessments as required.

Essential Requirements

  • PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience working as an Early Years Teacher.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within a nursery or school-based early years setting.
  • Additional training in SEND, safeguarding, or early childhood development.
  • First Aid qualification.
