About the Role
As Exams Officer, you will be responsible for the effective planning, administration and delivery of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the administration of all public and internal examinations.
- Liaising with examination boards, staff, students and parents.
- Ensuring compliance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
- Coordinating exam entries, amendments and certification processes.
- Recruiting, training and managing invigilators.
- Producing examination timetables and seating plans.
- Maintaining accurate candidate records and examination data.
- Supporting senior leaders with analysis and reporting of examination outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as an Exams Officer is essential.
- Strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination procedures.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
