Graduate SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant

Pay: Competitive daily rate via PAYE

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated Graduate SEND Specialist Teaching Assistants to work in schools across London, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching, Social Work, or Child Development.

The Role
As a Graduate SEND Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis
Help students access learning and achieve their individual goals
Build positive relationships that promote confidence and independence
Assist with social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and families
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

We’re Looking For

A recent graduate in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, Sociology, Childhood Studies, or a related subject
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude
Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals is desirable but not essential
