Career Teachers are working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in South London to appoint a Subject Leader of Science. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a committed department and make a real impact on teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

🌟 The Opportunity

As Head of Science, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Biology, Chemistry and Physics teachers
  • Drive curriculum development and departmental improvement
  • Monitor student progress across KS3 and KS4, including exam performance
  • Support and develop staff through coaching, CPD and best practice
  • Contribute to whole-school strategy and improvement planning
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the department
  • Champion inclusive practice, supporting SEN and high-achieving students

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge across Science (KS3 & KS4)
