Career Teachers is recruiting a committed History Teacher to work in a secondary school in Sheffield S11. This role suits a teacher who can deliver structured, engaging lessons that help pupils understand the past and its impact on the present.

The History Teacher will support students in developing analytical skills, evaluating sources, and forming balanced viewpoints in a positive and inclusive classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver well‑planned History lessons in line with the curriculum
• Encourage enquiry, discussion, and critical thinking
• Support pupils with source analysis, writing, and extended responses
• Maintain a positive and well‑managed classroom environment
• Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Experience teaching History at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and confident behaviour management
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
