Pastoral Support Officer

Location: Greenwich Start Date: January 2026 Full-Time | Term-Time Only

A client school, based in Greenwich, is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to work closely with KS3 students. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils, providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support to help them succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day pastoral care and emotional support for students in Years 8 and 9
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to promote wellbeing and engagement
• Monitor attendance, behaviour, and progress, and intervene where necessary
• Support students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges
• Liaise with external agencies and internal teams to ensure appropriate support is in place
• Contribute to a positive school culture and uphold safeguarding standards

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with young people in an educational or youth support setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
• A genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development
