Pay: £93-£110 per day (PAYE)
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday-Friday (Term Time Only)

Career Teachers are recruiting experienced PMLD / SLD SEN Teaching Assistants for specialist SEN schools across London starting in September 2026.
We are looking for compassionate, dedicated, and resilient individuals with experience supporting children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Successful candidates will work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and medical professionals to support pupils with complex learning, communication, physical, and sensory needs.
The Role
✅ Supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASD, and complex needs
✅ Providing 1:1 and small-group support
✅ Assisting with personal care and intimate care where required
✅ Supporting pupils with mobility and manual handling needs
✅ Encouraging communication, engagement, and independence
✅ Working alongside teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals
✅ Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
✔ Previous experience supporting pupils with PMLD, SLD, or complex SEND needs
✔ Experience within SEN schools, specialist provisions, care settings, or similar environments
✔ Personal care and manual handling experience is highly desirable
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs
✔ Available full-time from September 2026
