Career Teachers are recruiting passionate and qualified Teachers to work in a range of Primary Schools in the Wakefield Education Authority. Successful applicants can work on a full-time or part-time basis.

Career Teachers support a range of schools including Independent, SEN and Faith Schools.

You will be supporting in different classes covering PPA and absence across the range of schools. Work will be planned, but marking is expected.

This role offers flexibility and assignments vary from long-term (includes planning) to short-term and Day-to-Day cover, you are free to decide which assignments to accept.

As part of this role, you will be required to:

• Meet the Professional Standards for Teachers
• Play a full part in the life of the varied school communities and support their ethos, values and aims

The successful candidate must:

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner, in terms of challenging gifted pupils, supporting special needs and creatively organising the learning environment
• Have high expectations and a commitment to raising standards and achievements
• Have recent teaching experience in Key Stages 1 and/or 2
• Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the primary framework and pedagogy
• Be passionate about the development of the whole child
