📚 What You’ll Do:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You won’t be expected to plan lessons or mark work-but you will be the face of the classroom, ensuring students stay focused, engaged, and respectful.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering Pre-Set Lessons: Guide students through provided lesson plans and resources, keeping them on task and engaged.
- Managing Classroom Behaviour: Set clear expectations, maintain discipline, and create a positive learning environment using your coaching experience.
- Building Rapport with Students: Use your leadership and mentoring skills to connect with students and encourage participation.
- Adapting to Different Subjects and Schools: Work across a variety of secondary schools in Leeds, covering different subjects and year groups with confidence.
- Supporting School Staff: Liaise with teachers and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and effective handovers.
- Upholding Safeguarding Standards: Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
