An ideal Teaching Assistant will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, a genuine interest in working with young people, flexible thinking, a willingness to learn and above all be caring, patient and resilient.

Key responsibilities:

Work on a one-to-one and group basis to identify and support student’s needs
Support students with their mental health, well-being and inclusion
Support students in their academic achievement
Work alongside class teachers and also within the Learning Support Hub
Providing support inside and outside of the classroom
Uphold policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person.
Assist with the supervision of pupils, including before and after school and at lunchtime/break periods
