A vibrant and supportive primary school in Leeds is seeking a Year 5 Teacher to join their team this term, starting September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and wants to make a positive impact in the run-up to SATs and transition into Year 6.
The role will involve:
- Teaching a Year 5 class full-time
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Supporting pupils to reach their academic potential and preparing them for Year 6
- Working closely with the KS2 team and subject leaders to raise attainment
- Creating a positive, stimulating learning environment
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Have recent experience teaching in KS2 (ideally Year 5 or 6)
- Be confident in delivering English and Maths to upper KS2 level
- Have strong classroom management skills and high expectations for all learners
- Be committed to building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
